چکیده
In this paper a mixed integer lineal programming (MILP) approach is proposed for the scheduling of multiple dissimilar orders in a non-continuous serial production environment. In this context, different products must be produced in several stages, in which a single machine is chosen per stage to accomplish the production of each order. This work has been carried out in a manufacturing company of garden decoration's products. The major complexity of this problem relies on the possibility of considering a wide range of colors, shapes and sizes of products to be manufactured, commonly named as modes. The main aim of this mathematical model is to correctly schedule and synchronize different types of modes, minimizing the total tardiness and the completion time of all production orders in the system.

A Continuous-Time Formulation for Scheduling Multi- Stage Multi-product Batch Plants with Non-identical Parallel Units
Multi-stage multi-product batch plants with non-identical parallel units are quite common in the batch chemical industry. Scheduling production in these plants optimally is a complex task that has received limited attention in the literature. In this work, we propose a new continuous time-representation using asynchronous slots and report a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) formulation fo...

This paper considers a scheduling problem of a set of independent jobs on unrelated parallel machines (UPMs) that minimizesthe maximum completion time (i.e., makespan or ), maximum earliness ( ), and maximum tardiness ( ) simultaneously. Jobs have non-identical due dates, sequence-dependent setup times and machine-dependentprocessing times. A multi-objective mixed-integer linear programmi...
متن کاملA multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA) for hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with assembly operation
Scheduling for a two-stage production system is one of the most common problems in production management. In this production system, a number of products are produced and each product is assembled from a set of parts. The parts are produced in the first stage that is a fabrication stage and then they are assembled in the second stage that usually is an assembly stage. In this article, the first...

This paper presents a novel, multi-objective model of a parallel machines scheduling problem that minimizes the number of tardy jobs and total completion time of all jobs. In this model, machines are considered as unrelated parallel units with different speeds. In addition, there is some precedence, relating the jobs with non-identical due dates and their ready times. Sequence-dependent setup t...

This paper considers a bi-objective model for a scheduling problem of unrelated parallel batch processing machines to minimize the makespan and maximum tardiness, simultaneously. Each job has a specific size and the data corresponding to its ready time, due date and processing time-dependent machine are uncertain and determined by trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Each machine has a specific capacity,...
